The Exorcist Regan MacNeil Spider Walks Action Figure

Exorcist spider walks

The classic horror spider walks scene is probably the most notable and iconic, infamous scene from The Exorcist (1973) where Regan MacNeil (under Pazuzu devil possesion) "spider walks" down the stairs while blood puring from her mouth. The scene was filmed on April 11, 1973, performed by contortionist Linda R. Hager.

Spider walks scene, however, was deleted from the original, 1973 movie release because director William Friedkin felt the scene was ineffective technically. Later in the 2000 theatrically re-released version of The Exorcist: The Version You've Never Seen, spider walks scene was reincluded, but now it enhanced with CGI (Computer-Generated Imaging) technology to make it look more convincing.

The cult horror scene from The Exorcist also inspired many action figure manufacturers to create "Exorcist spider walks action figure", an action figure set capture the scene where Regan MacNeil spider walks down the stairs with bloody mouth. The action figure comes as a highly-detailed and movie-accurate piece, complete with a diorama of the stairs she walked down.
